What Is a Pediatrician?
Pediatricians specialize in children’s health from birth through age 18 — well visits, immunizations, illness care, developmental monitoring, and support for behavioral and learning concerns. Think of your pediatrician as your go-to resource not just for sick days, but for every question and milestone along the way.
At the Hospital
Our Aliso Viejo, CA pediatricians have privileges at CHOC at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo. If that’s where you’re delivering, let your nurse know at admission. The hospital will contact our office, and one of our physicians will come to see you and your newborn during your stay.
Delivering elsewhere? No problem. Just ask for your baby’s discharge paperwork (weight, length, head circumference, APGAR scores, and newborn screenings) and bring it to your first appointment at Oso.
Your Baby’s First Visit
Before your newborn appointment, you’ll receive a text with a link to complete your new patient forms digitally. Please fill these out ahead of time. Bring your insurance card and any remaining hospital paperwork. We’ll take it from there.
